Lower Mainland Assessment & Referral Service (EFAP/ARS)

 

"Your program is a joint effort created by local employers and employee groups". It is an employee benefit program that helps employees, dependents and retirees get confidential and professional assistance in addressing personal concerns. For more detailed information, review the "Synopsis" and the "Assessment" of the program.

Synopsis

The program focuses on intervention, prevention and wellness. Some relevant concerns are:

  • psychological/emotional issues (stress, depression, and eating disorders, etc.).
  • family difficulties due to addictions.
  • gambling addiction
  • relationship/family conflict.
  • alcohol & drug abuse.
  • financial concerns.
  • legal referrals.
  • child/parent.

The program is as easy as 1....2....3:

  • Recognizing a concern: An individual has a personal concern, or is seeking information on wellness or prevention.
  • Reaching out: Seek program information from an EFAP Representative within the work place, or contact the ARS directly.
  • Using the program: Make an appointment with the ARS.
